What you produce gives value to your own brand, which in turn provides value to others. This is why it is important to know who you are and why you exist. Many people have this concept incomplete.
Who you are is hidden inside
You can’t go on with life trying to figure out the reason for your existence without first knowing who you are. Many people go on with life developing big dreams for their businesses or vacations, but forget to consider the knowledge of their own selves.
It is important to know who we are and where we get our identity from. (This may have to be another blog for another time). Suffice it to say, that the understanding of the Real You is hidden inside of you not outside.
Your life is designed for value
Anyway, I came to the realization a long time ago, that my life was designed to provide value to others making the world around me a better one.
I learned this truth when my wife and I began to have kids. After studying the Bible for several years, getting married, and having kids, this reality hit me. I realized that I was no longer working for myself – I was now working for my family. What a revelation that was!
You and I were created free to make choices and when those choices are made to benefit others, in turn, it yields huge benefits. This attitude and reality of the heart falls under the long established law of “you reap what you sow.”
I know that what I willingly provide for you and others with quality and sincerity of heart will eventually produce huge dividends in my investment. I guarantee it!
The value of sowing and reaping
A case in point is this: Early in our first few years of marriage, my wife and I gave a couple of cars away to other friends. They needed the cars and we didn’t need them as much. Sure, they were older cars but we made sure that they run well and were taking care of properly. We planned on giving them to somebody to provide adequate transportation. This will bring value to their lives.
As time went on, when we needed a car God would give us one. Seriously! In his amazing way, God made sure to put in someone’s heart the desire to give us a vehicle. Today, after 20 years of doing this a few times over, we currently drive four (God-given) vehicles – all in great condition. It is amazing how you truly reap what you sow.
So in your business or in your blogging career, consider giving away quality material for the benefit of others and be honest up front with your readers that not all your material may be free. People pay for quality, and all quality must be created with character and integrity.
What am I saying then? The quality of your product is as good as the quality of your heart. Think about that for a minute. What you produce comes from the inside of you, and if the inside is good, the product will also be good.
Quality does not only consist of good materials. Quality also consists of true value.
What goes around comes around
So give it away. Don’t worry, you won’t run out of quality content or quality material. It keeps coming. In fact, the more you give it away, the more it comes back to you. Remember, it’s a law! Another way of putting it is: “What goes around comes around.” Some call it Karma – but I don’t. There is more to Karma than most are aware of, so I choose to stay with the oldest law: “you reap what you sow.”
